A red grape variety from Piemonte (Italy), Barbera produces wonderful medium-bodied red wines with deep color, low tannins, bright fruit, and high acidity. Pork tenderloin & Steak are the best pairs with this wine.
Malbec
This red grape variety, primarily from Argentina. Now better known for making powerful, deeply colored South American reds with ripe fruit, soft tannins, and naturally high acidity. Grilled Lamb, Ribs, and Steak are best with Malbec wine.
Tempranillo
This red grape variety is grown widely in northern Spain, Portugal, and Argentina. They produce very good-quality red wines with ripe cherry/plum flavors. Lamb is a perfect pair with Tempranillo.
Tip: To chill your summer wine bottles in just 20 minutes, fill bucket two-thirds full of equal parts cold water and ice. Submerge bottle up to the neck; speed it up a bit more by tossing in a handful of rock salt.
